LNB Round 4 (Regular Season): Titanes edge Indios by one point

There are only two more rounds left in the Regular Season in LNB. Here is the last round review presented by Job Market.

The most exciting game of round 4 in the LNB took place in San Francisco. This derby game ended with only one-point home defeat of their biggest opponent Indios (4-2) to third ranked Titanes (3-3) 92-91 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Indios. Titanes made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. They also forced 21 Indios turnovers. Point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997, agency: BMS Sport Agency) fired 22 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. American forward Terry Larrier (203-1995, college: UConn) chipped in 21 points. American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) produced 21 points, 7 rebounds and 9 assists for lost side. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Despite that victory Titanes went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with Caneros. Indios at the other side keep the second place with two games lost. Titanes is looking forward to face Metros (#6) in Santiago in the next round. Indios will play on the road against the league's leader Reales (#1) in La Vega and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
The game in Santo Domingo was also worth to mention about. Seventh ranked Metros (3-5) played at the court of 8th ranked Leones (1-5). Metros managed to secure a 5-point victory 89-84. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Miguel Dicent (190-1994, college: Morehead St., agency: BMS Sport Agency) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists. SirJabari Rice contributed with 16 points and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!) for the winners. American forward Emmitt Holt (201-1996, college: Providence) replied with 18 points and 9 rebounds for Leones. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Metros moved-up to sixth place. Leones lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with five games lost. Metros will play against higher ranked Titanes (#4) in San Cristobal in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Leones will play on the road against Caneros (#5) in La Romana to get more than just one victory in their record.
The game in Santo Domingo was also quite interesting. 5th ranked Caneros (3-3) played at the court of sixth ranked Soles (2-5). Soles defeated Caneros 96-86 on Friday. Worth to mention a great performance of Tyler Cheese who helped to win the game recording 23 points. At the losing side Yeison Colome responded with 24 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Soles went down to seventh position due to points difference. Loser Caneros dropped to the fourth place with three games lost. They share the position with Titanes. Soles will meet at home higher ranked Marineros (#3) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Caneros will play against Leones and hope to secure a win.

In the last two games of round 4 Soles were defeated by Indios in San Francisco 77-68. Titanes beat Caneros at home 79-62.



Indios - Soles 77-68

There was no surprise in San Francisco where 6th ranked Soles (2-5) were defeated by second ranked Indios (4-2) 77-68 on Sunday. Indios looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Tony Farmer (201-1994, college: Lee JC) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Luismal Ferreiras (200-2003, agency: BMS Sport Agency) who added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Indios' coach Abraham Disla used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side American guard Tyler Cheese (193-1996, college: Akron) responded with 14 points and 5 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Jordan Tolbert (200-1992, college: SMU) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Indios have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 4-2 record having just two points less than leader Reales. Loser Soles dropped to the seventh place with five games lost. Indios will meet league's leader Reales in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Soles will play against Marineros (#3) and hope to secure a win.

No shocking result in a game in San Cristobal where third ranked Titanes (3-3) defeated 5th ranked Caneros (3-3) 79-62 on Sunday. Titanes dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Caneros' 42. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Richard Bautista (185-1997, agency: BMS Sport Agency) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 5 assists and 5 steals and American Keith Jordan (198-1998, college: SHU) who added 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. At the losing side Yeison Colome (190-1996, agency: BMS Sport Agency) responded with 17 points and 6 rebounds and guard Bryan Polanco (198, college: Shorter) scored 5 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Despite that victory Titanes went down to fourth position due to points difference, which they share with defeated Caneros. Titanes will meet Metros (#6) in the next round.
